Privacy Policy
Short version: we don't collect your data.
No Personal Data Stored
Anime Meals does not store any personal data on our servers. There are no user accounts, no user database, and no server-side profiles. We genuinely have nothing to hand over even if someone asked.
What's Stored Locally
Saved recipes, preferences, and achievements are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data lives on your device only and never leaves it unless you choose to export. Clearing your browser data removes it entirely.
Recipe Generation
When you generate a recipe, your ingredient list and preferences are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to create the recipe in real time. These requests are processed and not saved on our end. Anthropic's handling of this data is governed by their privacy policy.
Image Generation
Food images are generated using Puter, a third-party service. When an image is generated, a text prompt describing the dish is sent to Puter's API. This is subject to Puter's Privacy Policy.
Payments
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your payment information — no card numbers, no billing addresses, nothing. The only thing stored locally in your browser is your Stripe subscription ID, which is used to verify your premium status.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to track aggregated page views such as which pages are visited and general geographic regions. No cookies are used, no personally identifiable information is collected, and no data is shared with third parties. Visitor sessions are automatically discarded after 24 hours.
Beyond that, Anime Meals does not use tracking cookies, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any fingerprinting. We don't know who you are, and that's by design.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how we handle data (spoiler: we probably won't), we'll update this page. Since we don't have your email or any way to contact you, checking back here is the move.
